Unrivaled Basketball League Chooses Athletiverse to Power its Digital Newsletter

Last Updated on January 29, 2025

Before kicking off the first game of the season in Miami recently, the Unrivaled Professional Women’s Basketball League announced that Athletiverse is the sports marketing agency partner powering its email newsletter, Club Unrivaled, supporting the league’s virality and sold-out ticket status.

The Club Unrivaled newsletter provides superfans with behind-the-scenes (BTS) access to their favorite teams and players through exclusive content, insider stories, and special membership benefits. In the email publication, fans can find exclusive player interviews and answers to fan questions, BTS game-day coverage, and access to limited ticket and merchandise releases.

“We’re thrilled to bring Unrivaled’s proven engagement model to college athletics,” said Athletiverse Founder and CEO Dominyk Bullard. “At a time when programs are seeking innovative ways to energize their fan and donor bases, we’re uniquely positioned to help transform sentiment through compelling data-driven marketing campaigns.”

Brand partners sponsoring the Club Unrivaled newsletter include Adobe Express, State Farm, and Ally Financial.

Bullard continued, “By giving supporters meaningful insight into the student-athletes they’re investing in, especially in the NIL era, we’re creating deeper, more sustainable connections that benefit both the athletes and their programs.”

Unrivaled was founded by two current U.S. Olympians, Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. The league features a three-by-three style game format with six teams, six players on each team, and 36 players total. Games are held on a compressed full court that spans 70 by 50 feet. The league says they are breaking records with the highest average salaries in women’s sports history.

Other Athletiverse partners include the University of San Diego’s NIL Collective Olé Foundation, the University of Southern California’s NIL Collective House of Victory, and the U.S. Olympic Bobsled Team. The agency crafts social media strategies, executes paid campaigns, and turns fans into loyal customers through targeted email marketing. Bullard says the company generated over five million dollars in revenue for partners and hundreds of thousands of email subscribers across newsletters for clients in 2024.
