adidas Signs Four Overtime Elite Athletes as Brand Ambassadors

adidas has continued to invest in the future of basketball by signing four new high school athletes as brand ambassadors. Ian Jackson, Karter Knox, Mikel Brown Jr., and Adam Oumiddoch, all of whom play with Overtime Elite (OTE), inked deals with the clothing brand before they even begin their collegiate careers.

In October 2023, adidas was named the exclusive sponsor of OTE, a high school-aged basketball league in Atlanta, Georgia, that helps some of the best amateur players get on the right track to play professionally.

Eric Wide, adidas General Manager of Global Basketball, shared his excitement regarding the partnership.

“The partnership with Overtime Elite and the integration of these talented young hoopers into the adidas family empowers us to champion the future leaders of basketball and reaffirms our pledge to the sport’s advancement,” Wise said. “We are immensely proud to foster a collaborative environment that not only equips athletes with performance-driven adidas products but propels them to success beyond the court.”

Jack Jenkins, the Vice President of Brand Partnerships at Overtime Elite, gave his thoughts on the collaboration.

“adidas is focused on the next generation athlete, and their commitment to providing OTE players with opportunities to expand their brands aligns perfectly with how we look to empower our players.”

adidas is not only one of the leading NIL spenders but has become one of the strongest marketing campaigns in college sports by its ability to reach players and programs nationwide. With this partnership, adidas offers OTE athletes the opportunity to build a relationship with the brand, providing early exposure. The players will also be able to get involved in product testing and be mentored by fellow ambassadors.

Here are the four Overtime Elite players that signed with adidas:

  • Ian Jackson (Class of 2024) – A five-star recruit, Jackson is set to play at the University of North Carolina. Jackson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $521,000, which will only continue to grow alongside his personal NIL brand at UNC.
  • Karter Knox (Class of 2024) – Knox, a four-star small forward and the No. 19 overall player for the 2024 class, has an On3 NIL Valuation of $234,000. Karter Knox is the brother of 2018 first-round NBA Draft pick Kevin Knox.
  • Mikel Brown Jr. (Class of 2025) – Brown Jr., a four-star junior point guard, already has many scouts taking notice. Brown has some prior NIL experience working with VerifiedInk, but adidas is his first national partnership. Brown’s On3 NIL Valuation sits at $128,000 with two years of high school left and plenty of time left in the recruiting process.
  • Adam Oumiddoch (Class of 2026) – Oumiddoch is a four-star shooting guard and a top-20 player in the 2026 class. adidas is Oumiddoch’s first national partnership.
