EyeDope Teams up With Hampton Softball Star in Landmark NIL Deal

Last Updated on November 5, 2023

Black-owned luxury sunglass company EyeDope has entered into its first NlL partnership, teaming up with Hampton University softball standout Carmynn Bonner. B.E Collective+, a service that helps college athletes at HBCU’s monetize their name, image, and likeness, facilitated this unique collaboration. As part of the deal, EyeDope is offering customers a discount on its sunglasses using Bonner’s code ‘carm15.’

EyeDope’s mission goes beyond selling stylish sunglasses; it aims to empower customers to embody positivity, beauty, transformation, and upliftment through the #dopemoment hashtag.

“What sets EyeDope apart from other brands is their dope moments,” Bonner said.

“On their social media, they capture amazing events happening in their lives and rock the sunglasses, capturing a Dope moment,” Bonner said. “When choosing EyeDope, you are choosing stylish, luxury, high-end sunglasses. You will always look good and feel good when wearing them! Whether you’re outside or inside.”

Bonner expressed tremendous gratitude towards partnering with EyeDope, stating, “When EyeDope reached out, I was immediately drawn because they were a black-owned business. I love supporting these businesses whenever I can, especially as an athlete at an HBCU. Supporting each other is the key to success!”

In a world where authenticity is often questioned in NIL deals, Bonner, a skilled softball player, brings a unique perspective. She excels on the diamond and recognizes the significance of quality eyewear in her daily battle against the sun.

“I hate the sun being in my eyes,” Bonner said. “Since I play softball, I am outside constantly. Sunglasses are essential for a softball player! EyeDope’s glasses can make me look stylish on and off the field!”

Bonner’s perspective emphasizes the importance of quality eyewear for athletes. The partnership between NIL and EyeDope is an excellent example of how style, performance, and genuine support go hand-in-hand.
