With reports of Tennessee Freshman Quarterback, Nico Iamaleava signing an $8 million NIL deal with Spyre Sports collective, he’s been the talk of the NIL space as football season inches closer.
A quick scroll through Iamaleava’s social media channels shows he hasn’t fully jumped into NIL yet, although we know he’s signed with Force Factor. Let’s take a look at what brands would naturally fit what Iamaleava is already posting and what NIL opportunities would be a perfect fit.
Pit Viper Sunglasses
A scroll through Iamaleava’s Instagram shows any sunglasses company would be a great NIL fit, but Pit Viper stands out. During his recruitment process and many of his training videos, Iamaleava is rocking Pit Viper style shades.
Raising Cane’s
As a brand already making waves in the NIL space by bringing in star athletes to serve their signature chicken tenders, Iamaleava would be a perfect fit for their next campaign. Posing in front of the iconic Raising Cane’s logo, this photo on Iamaleava’s Instagram shows he’s already a loyal consumer of the brand.
Beats by Dre
Beats has been a leader in the athlete marketing space for years now and Iamaleava would fit the stardom they typically look for with athlete ambassadors. This post seems to be unsponsored, but knowing the star quarterback already is posting content like this, Beats should take note.
Gushers
In one of Iamaleava’s more recent Instagram posts, the last image should be a sign for General Mills or Gushers to starting planning a pitch. After a clip of Minnesota Running Back, Mo Ibrahim snacking on Gushers on the Gopher sideline circled the internet last year, General Mills quickly put together an NIL deal. Since the brand is already familiar in the space, this is an opportunity they shouldn’t pass up.
