Seven Prep Basketball Stars Ink NIL Deals With PSD Underwear

Seven highly-touted high school basketball players nationwide have entered into a name, image, and likeness partnership with PSD Underwear.

Designed for athletes, PSD Underwear prioritizes comfort and affordability. Four of the seven players involved in the partnership will compete in the McDonald’s All-American game. These players include Texas commit Tre Johnson, Baylor commit VJ Edgecombe, Kentucky commit Jayden Quaintance, and Alabama commit Derrion Reid. Additional players to sign with the brand include Joson Sanon, a top-15 prospect in the class of 2025, per 247Sports, Kentucky commit Billy Richmond, and Karter Knox, who will also participate in the McDonald’s All-American game but has yet to commit to a college program.

Two-time NBA Champion Mike Miller was instrumental in facilitating this deal. Miller’s Agency, LIFT Sports Management, represents athletes within multiple verticals. Miller recognized the opportunity for the prep hoop stars to gain exposure to the NIL space.

“The biggest thing there is just introducing the high school kids, especially the elite high school kids, to brands that associate them with high-level college and NBA basketball players,” Miller said.

The selected players will participate in product drops on social media and events surrounding the McDonald’s All-American game as part of the deal.

One emerging theme at the forefront of athlete NIL partnerships is the collaboration with sportswear and lifestyle brands. Whether through player merchandise or brand alignment, these partnerships offer opportunities for athletes to connect with their communities and establish a presence on social media within the influencer landscape. PSD, for example, has previously collaborated with USC’s Bronny James and prep star Kiyan Anthony, the son of NBA great Carmelo Anthony, solidifying its brand connection to young emerging basketball talent.
