Shilo Sanders is Taking Advantage of NIL Opportunities

Last Updated on May 12, 2024

We’ve written about Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders and his son (and QB) Shedeur Sanders, but Shilo Sanders is an important part of the Sanders trifecta at Colorado.

Shilo is a grad student at Colorado, having transferred from Jackson State alongside his father and brother. He previously played at South Carolina but still has two years of eligibility left including this season.

He’s also no stranger to the world of NIL either. Alongside his brother Shedeur, Shilo has inked deals with Actively Black, Oikos and KFC.

The Sanders brothers signed with Actively Black alongside Jackson State, and now Colorado, teammate Travis Hunter. Each athlete was signed to be part of a series of campaigns that celebrate Black style and culture.

Commercials for Oikos and KFC star Sanders family members together.

Last year, Shilo became a brand ambassador for Porsche while at Jackson State, where he was an All-SWAC safety. These days, he’s driving around in a Dodge Ram, which he recently showed off in his Instagram stories with a new matte black wrap from Evolve Graphic Solutions. It’s not clear if the truck or the wrap are the result of NIL deals, but he also recently showed off a 2023 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe he labeled as a purchase on his YouTube channel.

Checking out his Instagram, you’ll also see deals with TurboTax, Champs Sports and Sprayground.

Shilo, alongside his brother, Shedeur, were featured in a Google commercial in November, advertising the company’s Shop app. The commercial was produced with help from Team Whistle, a sports entertainment company.

In May of 2024, it was announced he’d play his father in the Season 3 finale of the Starz crime drama BMF.

The Sanders family is a marketing machine that likely hasn’t even hit its stride yet given how Colorado has started out the 2023 season.
