Travis Hunter Signs NIL Deal With American Eagle

The University of Colorado two-way football player Travis Hunter recently landed a NIL deal with the clothing company American Eagle. As part of the partnership, Hunter will promote the brand across his various online platforms.

Hunter took to social media to announce the partnership with the caption, “Off the Field Comfort With @americaneagle #AEPartner #aejeans.”

Despite suffering an early-season injury, Hunter’s NIL presence has expanded, especially in the apparel sector. The wide receiver/defensive back has deals with Actively Black, NXTRND, So Hoodie, and the Michael Strahan Brand. Some of his endorsements also include his teammates Shilo and Shedeur Sanders

The NIL space is familiar to American Eagle; they have signed multiple athletes, including softball player Maya Brady and LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne. Hunter is a Jim Thorpe Award semi-finalist, given to the nation’s best college defensive back. So by adding Hunter to its NIL roster, American Eagle is strengthening its footprint by aligning with one of the nation’s premier college football players.

Apparel unifies CU Boulder football, even extending beyond just the players. Coach Deion Sanders, in particular, has played a pivotal role in boosting the program’s merchandise sales through his trademarks.
