Meet the Expert

Kristi Dosh is a former practicing attorney who founded Business of College Sports in 2011. Since then, she’s written on business and legal issues in college athletics for ESPN, Forbes, Entrepreneur, The Washington Post and more, and is the author of Saturday Millionaires: How Winning Football Builds Winning Colleges.

She has quickly become one of the nation’s leading experts on name, image and likeness rights for college athletes. In addition to writing on NIL almost daily, she’s been invited to speak on college campuses, to conference offices and at prestigious events such as SXSW.

Kristi has also consulted with a variety of NIL businesses, including collectives, marketplaces and others looking to help athletes maximize and leverage their NIL rights.

About the NIL Collectives Insider

One of the biggest trends that has emerged since college athletes (and some high school athletes) gained the right to monetize their name, image and likeness is the founding of collectives to benefit specific universities.

Kristi has been on the forefront of covering NIL collectives, including creating the NIL Collectives Tracker. She’s also consulted with collectives as one of the few experts available who is knowledgeable about the trends in this space.

Although collectives are university-specific, they all share a desire to assist student athletes in leveraging and monetizing their new NIL rights. While there’s obviously a competitive aspect to all of this, collectives also have a desire to learn from one another and stay up on trends in NIL.

The NIL Collectives Insider will allow Kristi to share the latest news and analysis specifically of interest to collectives to ensure student athletes are best served by these new organizations.
