Ticket Prices Fluctuating for the CFP National Championship Game

Last Updated on January 4, 2024

Ticket prices for the National Championship matchup between the Michigan Wolverines and Washington Huskies on Gametime have fluctuated dramatically since the first semifinal game began. Peaking at over $3,500 directly after Michigan defeated Alabama, lowest-cost tickets dropped to $1,418 in less than 48 hours after the final whistle Monday night.

According to the last-minute ticket site, the most expensive tickets peaked at a stunning $12,055 after the Wolverines’ win but have dropped by close to $5,000. The current top price (as of January 3, 2024) of $7,823 comes close to last year’s top price six days prior to the Championship game.

However, the get-in tickets are significantly more expensive for this year’s matchup in Houston — last year’s lowest price six days before kickoff was $438, nearly $1,000 less than the current low. There are still several days before the final showing of both the Big Ten and Pac 12 as we know it, though, for those ticket prices to come down.
