Iowa State University Cyclones fans will have a go-to tailgate beverage that is unique to their community this upcoming football season.
The We Will Collective, a NIL collective dedicated to helping Iowa State athletes utilize their NIL to give back to communities in need, recently announced a partnership with local brewery West O Beer to launch a We Will Collective-inspired beer called Ames Lager. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Ames Lager will go towards the We Will Collective.
We Will Collective’s partnership with West O Beer to launch Ames Lager is a prime advertisement activation opportunity for Iowa State fans to invest in their favorite athlete’s NIL pursuits. The We Will Collective is not the only NIL collective to launch its NIL-inspired beer, joining the likes of their cross-state rival University of Iowa’s SWARM Golden Ale, Boise State’s Horseshoe Golden Ale, and Cincinnati’s Cincy Light.
Ames Lager is set to release in August, just before the football season. One of the aspects that makes it distinct is its name, Ames. Each Ames Lager represents not only those affiliated with Iowa State but also the people that make up the community of Ames, Iowa. Given the goal of Ames Lager to be distributed throughout Iowa at some point, Cyclones fans should have plenty of opportunities to represent their community and support Iowa State athletes.
