For the second straight season, Wrangler Jeans is signing college athletes to NIL deals, partnering with Ohio State football tight end Cade Stover and Texas volleyball middle blocker Asjia O’Neal.
Stover, a senior, is one of the best tight end prospects for the upcoming NFL Draft after hauling in five touchdown passes during the 2022 season, while O’Neal is coming off a season in which she made multiple All-America teams. This marks O’Neal’s second year working with Wrangler.
Last year, the brand debuted its Wrangler’s Collegiate Collection, apparel that includes includes logoed denim jackets, shirts and jeans. The first group of NIL deals last year included Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, baseball player Trey Faltine, swimmer Caspar Corbeau, softball players Lauren Burke and Mary Iakopo and volleyball players Molly Phillips, Madisen Skinner and O’Neal.
Currently, the collection available for purchase includes University of Alabama, Ohio State University, University of Tennessee, University of Texas, and University of Georgia.
