Texas A&M, Playfly Sports Agree to Historic Media Deal

Texas A&M has reportedly signed one of the largest media rights deals in college sports history. According to Billy Liucci of TexAgs, Texas A&M has signed a fully guaranteed multimedia rights deal with Playfly Sports Properties worth $515 million over 15 years. The deal would increase Texas A&M’s annual multimedia rights revenue from $18 million to $34 million.
Aggies athletic director Trev Alberts gave insight into the decision to enter into a partnership with Playfly Sports and how it will impact their future.
“We are entering a new era of collegiate athletics, and Texas A&M is positioned to be a strong leader,” Alberts said. “This partnership with Playfly reflects our commitment to innovation, maximizing our revenue potential, and providing new opportunities for our student-athletes, fans, and corporate partners. Our ability to find and grow approved, fair market NIL deals to organically grow our cap will be critically important. With a focus on NIL, premium experiences, and strategic partnerships, we are excited about the transformative impact this collaboration will have on our programs, our university, and the entire Aggie Network.”
Playfly will work closely with Texas A&M athletics to develop a strategy for expanding its commercial presence, influence within NIL, and premium experiences. Playfly Sports has a reputation for maximizing revenue, and it plans to advance continuous growth for Texas A&M athletics through fan engagement, content, and new partnerships.

Playfly Sports’ national, local, and regional sales footprint is deeply entrenched in major cities within the Texas Triangle. Further, the sales team is motivated to identify revenue opportunities yielding valuable partnerships. Playfly will also look to collaborate with the 12th Man Foundation and The Association of Former Students, leveraging the school’s global network.
