Colorado Football Staff Receives Custom Headsets Through Aflac Partnership

Last Updated on August 21, 2024

In addition to being a father, an NFL legend, and a leader of men, Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders is viewed by many as a style icon. As a leader, his charisma and confidence have become hallmarks of his leadership style, and brands like Blenders Eyewear and Motorola have eagerly teamed up with him. With the support of the insurance company Aflac, that same swagger will be amplified on the sidelines this season.

Aflac will provide custom headsets for the Colorado coaching staff in their new partnership with University of Colorado athletics. Sanders will sport eight distinct headsets, each designed to complement Colorado’s helmets, and the Aflac logo will be proudly displayed. Every headset has been carefully crafted to align with the Buffaloes’ weekly uniform combinations, ensuring Sanders’ sideline style perfectly matches his players on the field.

Fans will be able to see the unveiling of these new headsets when the Buffaloes open their season against the North Dakota State Bison on August 29 at 6 p.m. on ESPN. Aflac’s effort to ensure the Buffaloes coaching staff have the best-looking headsets in college football reflects their growing partnership with University of Colorado athletics.

“Aflac has been a terrific partner of CU Athletics, and we’re excited to work with them on this new opportunity to provide one-of-a-kind headsets to our coaching staff,” University of Colorado Athletic Director Rick George said. “Our team always looks great when it takes the field and to have specially designed headsets that match our helmets, I know will be a thrill for our coaches, players, and fans.”

This partnership aspect will generate brand awareness across Colorado athletics platforms, including in-game signage and robust social media visibility. The famous Aflac Duck will also appear on campus for the second consecutive season during Colorado Family Weekend on October 24.

“Coach Prime is truly one-of-a-kind, and it shows in every aspect of his style,” Aflac’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Garth Knutson said. “Enhancing the Colorado Buffaloes football staff’s look through custom headset designs was a seamless next step. Just as Aflac supplements health insurance for millions of Americans, we’re supplementing their game day fit.”
