Florida Quarterback DJ Lagway Set to Launch Apparel Line

University of Florida quarterback DJ Lagway has Gators fans raving about his potential to lead the program after his performance in the Florida Spring game, where he dazzled in The Swamp by throwing two touchdown passes. Although the freshman has yet to be named the starting quarterback, he is building some excitement amongst fans with the recent launch of his apparel line.

Lagway debuted his inaugural lifestyle and apparel collection in collaboration with the lifestyle brand OTSS (Only the Strong Survive). Partnering with OTSS, a leading platform connecting athletes and fans, Lagway’s exclusive limited-edition products are available on OPEN SuperApp’s NIL marketplace.

The SuperApp, a platform that integrates eCommerce, chat, and media features, is tailor-made for Gen Z and college demographics. Lagway, following in the footsteps of quarterbacks like Shedeur Sanders and Jalen Milroe, has made apparel a key component of his NIL brand, further enhancing his connection with fans.

“Launching my lifestyle brand has always been a personal dream of mine, and I was blessed to partner with OTSS and OPEN,” Lagway said. “I’m excited to share my story through this creative medium, reflecting on my faith, family, and football. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve created together and to connect with my fans and showcase my personality.”

The Akra Vision, an art, design, and illustration company, will design Lagway’s initial line, released in May. Fans can preorder the collection by using this link to download the OPEN SuperApp.

Lagway’s apparel line follows up his first NIL deal with Leaf Trading cards. On the field, Lagway hopes to join a list of successful Florida Gators quarterbacks, including Tim Tebow, Anthony Richardson, Steve Spurrier, and Danny Weurffel.

OPEN SuperApp’s Co-Founder and CEO Jaeson Ma expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with visionaries such as Lagway. He highlighted SuperApp’s ability to allow rising stars to fully express their brand and engage with fans, transforming memorable moments into cherished items using cutting-edge technology.

“Our SuperApp is the ideal platform for rising stars like DJ to fully express their brand and connect with fans in new ways,” Ma said. “The all-in-one technology allows athletes to rapidly translate their most memorable moments into commemorative merchandise that deepens their relationship with their passionate fanbase.”

OTSS Co-Founder Russell Redeaux echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the partnership’s significance in the evolving landscape of amateur sports.

“I am proud to be a part of such a renaissance moment around amateurism in sports,” Redeaux said. “Lagway and OTSS share a mutual alignment in principles dedicated to hard work, pushing through obstacles, presenting your best self, and living a purpose-fulfilled life. Our partnership with OPEN makes us the premiere resource for NIL athletes looking to create their products and build brands, which is very exciting!”
