5-Star Hoops Prospect Nate Ament Becomes First HS Athlete to Sign With Reebok

Reebok is slowly making a resurgence in basketball. The sports apparel brand’s newest signing is class of 2025 five-star high school basketball prospect Nate Ament. According to Nick DePaula of Boardroom, Ament’s name, image, and likeness deal with Reebok makes him the first high school athlete with a player-exclusive shoe. Ament will be instrumental in supporting different product activations and promoting their lifestyle products, such as “the Engine A,” Reebok’s latest release of their on-court basketball shoe.
In a release, NBA Hall of Famer, and the President of Reebok Basketball, Shaquille O’Neal expressed excitement for the brand’s newest addition to the family.
“He’s a great kid who comes from an amazing family, and he’s got superstar potential on the court,” O’Neal said.
Ament’s star power is apparent. According to 247Sports, Ament is the No. 2 ranked power forward and the No. 4 overall player in his class.
“Reebok has everything I need as a young basketball player to take my game to the next level,” Ament told Boardroom. “Shaq and A.I. – all my dreams have been lived out by these legends, so to have them as a resource is exciting.”
Ament’s signing is pivotal for Reebok, which plans to relaunch its basketball brand in 2025 with the help of NBA G league’s Dink Pate, Chicago Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis, and WNBA star Angel Reese. With these young athletes at the helm, Reebok’s basketball division is in great hands.
