Haley and Hanna Cavinder recently signed a name, image and likeness deal with Leaf trading cards. Leaf will release dual autographed trading cards as part of the deal.
During March Madness, the Cavinder twins played a crucial role in Miami’s historic Elite Eight run. Everett Sports Management facilitated the deal with assistance from attorney Darren Heitner.
Despite negotiating the partnership before the tournament started, the parties decided to release the cards in March, which allowed them to capitalize on the Hurricanes’ success. The Cavinder twins’ signature cards are available for $79.99 through March.
“Leaf Trading Cards is beyond excited about working with the top two female NIL athletes in Haley and Hanna Cavinder,” Leaf’s CJ Breen said in a statement. “We have been saving this announcement for March Madness. The twins have not disappointed with their star-studded performances, ultimately lifting their team to the Sweet 16. As a company, we are committed to the NIL space by working with the best of the best talent.”
In July 2021, the NCAA changed its rules to allow college athletes to profit from their name, image, and likeness.
Since then, Hanna Cavinder and Haley Cavinder have led the way for college athletes using their NIL for brand building. They also headlined WWE’s inaugural Next In Line class in 2021 and secured deals with Champs Sports, Boost Mobile, and Raising Canes. As a result of their recent partnership with Leaf, fans will have the chance to be a part of the Cavinders’ historic season at Miami.
