Colorado Football is the Most Marketable Team in America

Last Updated on September 22, 2023

Combine a flashy, superstar coach like Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders and a 3-0 record to start the season, and Colorado’s team has quickly become the most marketable team in America.

The latest evidence is a new commercial for California Almonds featuring Colorado tailbacks Charlie Offerdahl and Alton McCaskill alongside Coach Prime.

““You can’t achieve your PRIME unless you put in the work…DAILY! In order to BE YOUR BEST YOU, you gotta recover with the right stuff,” says Sanders. “It’s all about consistency! I’m partnering with California Almonds to share how almonds help me stay PRIME, all the time. IT DON’T STOP, BABY!”

Only Coach Prime could make eating almonds sound so cool.

Spreading the NIL Deals Around

His sons Shedeur and Shilo have also benefited from some family deals with their dad and coach, including commercials for Oikos and KFC.

Shedeur and Shilo have also inked deals with Actively Black alongside teammate Travis Hunter. And Shedeur has included the entire team in his deals with Beats by Dre and Urban Outfitters. The entire team received Beats by Dre headphones and a shopping spree at Urban Outfitters during its back-to-school campaign.

Shedeur, Shilo and Travis Hunter Raking in NIL Deals

Individually, the Sanders brothers and Hunter have done quite well for themselves.

Last year, Shilo became a brand ambassador for Porsche while at Jackson State, where he was an All-SWAC safety. Checking out his Instagram, you’ll also see deals with TurboTax, Champs Sports and Sprayground.

Meanwhile, Shedeur launched his apparel line SS2LEGENDARY moniker and also inked a deal with Tom Brady’s TB12 Clothing. He was also the first HBCU athlete last year when he played at Jackson State to sign an NIL deal with Gatorade, and the first NIL ambassador for Mercedes Benz.

Although two-way star Travis Hunter is out for a few games, his NIL stock is still pretty high. He most recently resigned an NIL deal with Celsius Energy Drink. He has also inked NIL deals with Phil Long Ford and NXTRND football equipment.

Hunter is an avid fisherman, which has led to a number of NIL deals with brands like WaterLand Co., Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits, and KastKing.

No doubt, we’ll have more to add to the long list of deals coming in for Colorado’s coach and team, especially if they keep up their winning streak.

Colorado Athletics Cashing in Too

All the hype around Colorado Football has added to CU’s bottom line too. First, Blenders cut a deal with CU Athletics to become its official eyewear brand. Now, a new report shows the media value of the first three weeks of the season at a whopping $90.55 million.
