Jordan Brand Signs LSU WBB Star Mikaylah Williams to NIL Deal

LSU women’s basketball star Mikaylah Williams is the latest addition to the Jordan Brand team.

Williams, the SEC Freshman of the Year, becomes the third amateur women’s basketball player to join the brand’s NIL roster, which includes the likes of UCLA’s KiKi Rice and Rutgers signee Kiyomi McMiller. Additionally, The Jordan Brand has a roster of WNBA players that includes Rhyne Howard and Dearica Hamby. Through this deal, Williams hopes to inspire the next generation of women who desire to make an impact on and off the court.

“Signing with Jordan Brand allows me to inspire young girls and contribute to the growth of women’s basketball,” Williams said.

With Jordan Brand’s involvement, we are witnessing a movement toward gender equity in sports. By investing in women’s sports, Jordan Brand has promoted inclusivity while fostering a culture of empowerment and excellence among female athletes.

The former top recruit of the 2023 class has been pivotal for the Lady Tigers this season as they look to repeat as national champions. Despite suffering a foot injury that briefly sidelined her earlier in the month, Williams still maintained an impressive average of 15 points per game throughout the season. The six-foot guard showcased her scoring prowess with a remarkable 42-point performance against Kent State on Nov. 14.

Williams is expected to play a crucial role in securing a victory for her team when they take on the UCLA Bruins in the Sweet 16 on Saturday.
