Basketball superstar LeBron James has continued to expand his business prowess off the court, entering into a multi-year trading card deal with Fanatics Collectables. But this time, the deal is a little more personal. That’s because it also includes his son, USC Trojans freshman point guard Bronny James.
Both LeBron and Bronny will appear on a one-of-one autographed trading card featured in a box of the Topps 2023-2024 Bowman University Chrome Basketball cards. Bronny will star on the exclusive trading card in his current USC Trojans uniform, while LeBron will be pictured in his legendary green and gold uniform from his high school days playing at St. Vincent-St Mary High School in Akron, Ohio.
Fans and collectors alike can test their luck by purchasing a box of cards for $24.99 on the Topps website.
Fans have been anticipating the details of LeBron James’ partnership with Fanatics Collectables since he posted a highlight video titled “Origin of Greatness,” featuring him along with Iowa women’s basketball star Caitlin Clark and former USC quarterback Caleb Williams.
James’ partnership with Fanatics Collectibles ends a two-decade relationship with Upper Deck, the trading card company he signed with before being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was, at the time, the latest trading card deal for an athlete, according to Forbes.
It may not be the last time we see LeBron and Bronny collaborating on a partnership campaign. Bronny’s current name, image, and likeness deals include Beats By Dre and Nike. As he continues to find his stride on the court after battling back from a health scare prior to the season, the college basketball world will have their eye on No. 6 six at USC.
