South Carolina’s MiLaysia Fulwiley Inks NIL Deal with Steph Curry’s Brand

South Carolina freshman sensation MiLaysia Fulwiley has entered into a multi-year name, image, and likeness partnership with Steph Curry’s Curry Brand. The South Carolinian is the first collegiate athlete to sign with  the brand.

Playing for the top-seeded Gamecocks in the NCAA Tournament, Fulwiley’s presence on the court will amplify the Curry brand’s appeal, especially if South Carolina makes a run at an NCAA title. Fulwiley’s prominence in South Carolina continues to rise. While in high school, she won four South Carolina state championships and recently earned MVP honors at the SEC Tournament, an unprecedented accomplishment for a freshman.

“Her style and movement on the court are revolutionizing the women’s game right before our eyes,” said Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors guard and president of Curry Brand. “Her gameplay possesses an unparalleled flair and rhythm that hasn’t been witnessed in quite some time.”

Aside from Fulwiley wearing Curry Brand shoes for the rest of her college career, the guard will also act as a brand ambassador and will collaborate on Curry Brand exclusives. Fulwiley has had a longstanding relationship with Curry. Before attending South Carolina, Fulwiley played AAU basketball with Team Curry. She also participated in a Curry-run basketball camp.

In the SEC Championship game against the reigning champion LSU Tigers, Fulwiley scored a career-high 24 points. Securing the one seed in this year’s March Madness tournament for the third consecutive year, Fulwiley will be integral in her team’s pursuit of its third national title.
